In the forest there dwells a great gray owl that has been spoken of by the local peasantry for three generations. Each winter, its spoor, if it can be found, can be collected for Intellego vis. Normally 1-10 pawns of such can be found each year.
The owl itself is intelligent and possesses a Magic Might score of 15; it wold make an excellent familiar to a Hermetic Magus. If tracked to its den, it will be found in a large stand of pines which surround an area of +1 Magic aura; the owl feeds upon rodents in the area, which in turn feed upon the seeds in the cones of the pines.
